Presentation summary:
This webinar features an in-depth look at business models and marketing for forest-grown and harvested goods, including a variety of non-timber forest products. Participants will learn about the Pennsylvania Certified Organic (PCO) certification program called PCO Forest Grown Verification, which provides a third-party verification that specific products are grown and harvested in a sustainable manner, thereby offering a marketing advantage. The webinar will review the paperwork, process, fees and opportunities of the PCO program. Several examples of large-scale cooperative buying and marketing will also be highlighted.

Presented by: Tess Weigand, Coordinator and Inspector, PCO Forest Grown Verification Program Coordinator, and Leslie Horner, Forest Stewardship Program Associate, Center for Private Forests at Penn State
