Hardwood Log Bucking - NTHA

This workshop has been approved for 8 hours (2 years) of PA SFI® Continuing Education (C.E.) credit. Individuals seeking C.E. credit must submit a completed Non-SFI Course C.E. credit form (this form may not be available at the training so you will need to print it out beforehand), a course agenda or certificate of completion, and a $20 administrative fee (Check made payable to “PA SFI SIC”) to the PA SFI office. Continuing Education credit can only extend your PA SFI Training Card expiration date by a maximum of 3-years from the current calendar year. 2014 Dirt and Gravel Road Maintenance Workshop



The 2014 Dirt and Gravel Road Maintenance Workshop will be held September 30th - October 1st at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center in State College, PA. Classroom topics include: DSA Clearinghouse; Road Reclamation; Township Bidding and Prevailing Wage; Low Volume Roads Traffic Counts; Bankfull and Stream Crossings; Bulk Bidding of Spans and Structures; Road Drain and Geosynthetics; and Timely Equipment Topics. This year's field trips will include: a low volume road diagnostic; low volume road demonstration and traffic count; a visit to two completed sites along with a RoaDrain demonstration; a bankfull and stream crossing evaluation; and a "traditional" Dirt and Gravel demonstration.

REGISTRATION DEADLINES ARE FAST APPROACHING:  The room block is at the Ramada State College Hotel and Conference Center, 140 South Atherton Street, State College (where the Workshop will be held). Please use, “2014 Annual Maintenance Conference” and you will receive a rate of $69 per night. The lodging fee is not included in the registration fee.

Each Game of Logging workshop counts for 8 hours (2 years) of PA SFI Continuing Education (C.E.) credit. Additionally, Game of Logging 1 is a Core Requirement of PA SFI Training. Individuals seeking C.E. or Core training credit must submit a completed Non-SFI Course C.E. credit form(this form may not be available at the training so you will need to print it out beforehand), a course agenda or certificate of completion, and a $20 administrative fee (Check made payable to “PA SFI SIC”) to the PA SFI office. NOTE: The registration fee for the Game of Logging 1 training course is not eligible for reimbursement through PA SFI.
