Presentation summary:
Bats have been keeping insect populations in check for millions of years. By consuming June bugs, tent caterpillars, corn rootworm beetles, stinkbugs, and other agricultural and forest insect pests, they’ve been performing a valuable ecological service for free. In this webinar we will discuss the ecology of Pennsylvania’s only flying mammals and how the recent outbreak of white-nose syndrome has affected their populations.

Presented by:
Richard Fritsky, Regional Wildlife Diversity Biologist, Pennsylvania Game Commission
