Presentation summary:
Asian longhorned beetle (ALB) has been found in Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, and Ohio. This webinar will help forest landowners and stakeholders become more aware of this threat and help get more eyes on the forest to watch for its presence. The webinar will cover: history/status of ALB, its biology, signs and symptoms in the trees, what Pennsylvania is doing to watch for and respond to the threat, lookalike species, reporting procedures and similar threats.

The Hardwood Lumber Grading Short Course will cover and explain the NHLA hardwood lumber grades and will offer hands-on grading of hardwood lumber. It is designed to provide the foundation needed to effectively grade hardwood lumber and will benefit anyone involved in the lumber industry who needs a basic understanding of hardwood lumber grades.
