Presentation Summary: Managing a woodland can feel overwhelming, as each decision about which trees to cut or save shapes the future health, value, recreation potential, and diversity of the forest. This event introduces participants to Crop Tree Release (CTR), a proven management practice that can be applied on properties of any size to guide landowners through these important choices. Attendees will learn how to identify which trees to save and which to remove, the tools needed to carry out the process safely and efficiently, and the optimal times of year to implement CTR. Whether your goals for owning forestland focus on sustainability, enjoyment, or long-term value, CTR can help you achieve them.
