Presentation summary: The dawn of the 21st Century ushered in the era of accessible Consumer-Grade GPS receivers for private forest landowners.  Consumer-Grade, also known as Recreation-Grade and/or Civilian-Grade, GPS receivers have become reasonably priced, user friendly and capable of meeting the accuracy standards required for forestland management.  A Consumer-Grade GPS receiver paired with free software is a powerful solution that empowers a landowner to map, delineate, archive, analyze and navigate their forest.  Join me as I demonstrate how to marry Consumer-Grade GPS hardware with software technologies.  This webinar will provide participants a baseline understanding of how to purchase and use a Consumer-Grade GPS receiver.
